Japan, the land of rising sun is an island country in East Asia. Japan is said to be as the 4th largest island country in the world and the largest island country in East Asia that has a total of 6,500 plus islands out of which the five main islands are Hokkaido, Shikoku, Kyushu, Okinawa and Honshu. All these five main islands are together known as the Japanese Archipelago. Out of the total land in Japan, around 73 per cent of it is occupied by forests, mountains, agriculture, industries and residents. Japan is such a country that you can visit anytime throughout the year as it has some amazing festivals, sight-seeing and outdoor activities every month. However, if you do not want to travel during rains, then avoid tour in those rainy months. June and July are the months when heavy rainfall is witnessed. Storms are also witnesses in the June month. Avoid visiting Japan from May to October as typhoons prevail during these months. The best time to visit Japan is in the dry months. Those dry months are December, January and February are the driest months in the year.
